I own Fallout 3 but I have the version from GoG.com, this version already has GFWL removed.Fallout 3 is one of the classic PC games ever made, but unfortunately, due to its dated nature, it does not normally work on Windows 10. This sets up your hardware configuration and createsĪn all important Fallout 3.ini file. But to strip it out you'll need to launch the game to the main menu.
Lastly, you don't need to keep Games For Windows Live installed to run Fallout 3 in Windows 10. This is explained in the guide from Steam which I have linked further down. Don't worry though, you're going to remove it later. If that doesn't work, you may have to update GFWL launcher.
Steam will check your install and if files are missing it will re-download them. For this example I'm using Fallout 4, but the process is With missing files through steam you should run the game integrity check.įind the game in your list.
